Edit video in your browser on a timeline, like CapCut: trim and cut clips, add text and subtitles, then export. The video stays on your device and is not uploaded.
Edit video in your browser. Put clips, audio and images on a timeline, add text and subtitles, and export a video file. Editing and export run on your own computer, so your files are not uploaded.
Press Import in the Media panel, or drag video, audio and image files into it. The files stay on your computer.
Double-click a file in the Media panel to add it to the timeline. Select a clip to change its position, size, opacity, volume and speed in the panel on the right.
Open Text and click a style to add a title. For subtitles, select a clip and open Local Auto-Captions in the right panel. Press Transcribe Selected Clip to make subtitles from the speech, or Import SRT / VTT as Text to use a subtitle file you have. Each subtitle line becomes a text clip that you can edit.
Press Export and choose a preset, for example Match Source or Compact file. Choose Custom export to set the format, codec, size and frame rate. The browser then downloads the file.
Yes. You do not need an account, and it uses no credit. There is no limit on how much you edit. See the pricing page for the other tools.
No. The editor opens your files in your browser, edits them on your computer and makes the export file there. Yangopen does not receive your video, audio or project. Auto-Captions also runs on your computer. Text to speech, background removal, stabilization and AI image tools are not offered, because they need files or services from other sites. If you connect the AI assistant to an endpoint of your own, your API key goes from your browser straight to that endpoint, not to Yangopen.
Video: MP4, WebM, MOV and MKV. Audio: MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, M4A and FLAC. Images: JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. Your browser decodes the files, so a file with a codec your browser cannot play does not open. Other formats, such as AVI or WMV, need FFmpeg, which this editor does not load. Convert them to MP4 or MP3 first.
Match Source and Compact file make an MP4 file. Custom export offers MP4, WebM and MOV, with codecs such as H.264, H.265, ProRes, VP9 and AV1, and ready presets for YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook and LinkedIn. Audio only (WAV) exports the sound alone. Which codecs work depends on your browser.
Use Text to type a title or a caption by hand. To make subtitles from speech, select a clip, open Local Auto-Captions in the right panel, choose the language and press Transcribe Selected Clip. The first time, the browser downloads the speech model (Whisper Tiny, about 40 MB) from this site and keeps it. The sound does not leave your computer. Whisper Tiny is a small model and makes mistakes, more often in languages other than English, so read the text before you export. To bring in subtitles you already have, press Import SRT / VTT as Text. Each line becomes an editable text clip on a Captions track.
The editor saves your project in your browser on this computer while you work. If the tab closes by mistake, open the editor again and press Recover. The saved project stays in this browser only, and clearing the site data removes it. Export the video to keep a copy.
No. The editor needs a wide screen. On a phone, a tablet or a window narrower than 768 pixels, the page shows a message that asks you to use a desktop or laptop computer.
